I almost forgot!

On the 27th I had a choir reunion party at my house (pictures to follow). My mom was telling one of my friends some of the things I had been up to shortly before Cohen was born. I had almost forgotten this...I wrote two articles for a modest fashion magazine called Eliza based out of L.A.! Here is a preview the editor sent me before its release in the Fall (I think!).

There is no crying on Christmas Eve!

This is Cohen's new face! Do you think he gets what he wants? We were about to open our one present on Christmas Eve when my mom said we weren't going to do that this year! This is the face he made...this is what Grammy gave him. A stuffed animal that opens into a pillow!

Elder Snelgrove is home!

My brother Matt is home from Texas! Ye Ha! We missed it...but it was cute to see Cohen meet him for the first time just two days later!

Nag, Nag, Nag, thank you!

Yesterday was our 6 year anniversary! I have been begging for a photography program called Totally Rad Action for months now...thanks Dustin...I can't wait to use it!

Before we go...

Cohen is 3 months old! We are so excited to have him in our family! He has brought us both so much happiness!

Elder Snelgrove is coming home!

I wanted my 100th post to be something really special so here goes...

My little brother, Matt, is coming home from his mission December 20th (our 6th anniversary)! He has been serving in the San Antonio Texas mission for the last 2 years! He is such a special brother to me. When I was little I would pray and pray for a little baby brother. My primary teacher told my mother that Heavenly Father does not deny the prayers of little children... she was right! My little brother was born not to long after. He has been a great example to me and my family. He is a hard worker and is always in tune with the spirit. I can't wait to see him!

Cohen's first Thanksgiving/Road Trip

We just got back from Idaho! We spent Thanksgiving in Idaho with Dustin's family! We had so much fun! Thanks Nicole and Brady for letting us stay at your house!

Body World

Dustin and I went to Body World on Monday. It was incredible! We have been trying to go see it for years...it was worth the wait.

Poor Gibby! Poor us!

My dear friend Katie or "Gibby" has left us for beautiful Hawaii! Their family has decided to take a job in Hawaii! I'm so jealous...The fab five is slowly loosing numbers! First me (but i came back!), then L.J. and then Gibby! It just won't be the same Utah without her!

First date Night!

Grammy and Grampy offered to baby sit while they were in town...so we took it! We thought we would save it for Halloween but Dustin was offered great seats to the Jazz vs. Nuggets game...so we took them! Dustin added to a great night by making reservations for the Melting Pot...the last time we went there was our first anniversary almost 5 years ago! The night didn't end there! Dustin did Cohen's last feeding before bed and the next feeding my parents did...that means I had a great nights sleep! It was an amazing night!

Jake: Aw...nothing
Me: Your new cousin can't wait to meet you at Christmas!
Jake: yeah me too... Hey aunt Lisa did you know I have a cousin named Owen?
Me: Yeah Jake I did!
Jake: I bet I could spell Cohen if I could spell Owen! I would just add a C to the front!

I thought that was cute. Just wanted to remember that!

Eagle Eye/Blue Eyes

Saturday we took Cohen to see his first movie...Eagle Eye! We loved it! Cohen slept through the whole thing and it was loud!

Right now Cohen looks exactly like daddy but has blue eyes like me! I hope it stays that way (my fingers are crossed)!

Last night Cohen slept in his crib! It wasn't the first time...but it was the first time without a parent camping out on the bedroom floor!

Aunt Jess and her Vacation!

My best Jess came to visit us and meet Cohen! She used her vacation days to come and help us! It was more of a vacation for me! Thanks Aunt Jess for all your help with late night feedings and diaper changes!

Outback Steakhouse!

Almost 7 years ago I got a call from a co-worker (Dustin)... instead of asking me to fill a shift for him he asked me to dinner. Our first date was Outback and Ocean's 11! Last night after Priesthood session we met up and had dinner at Outback...I didn't realize that it would be Cohen's first dinner out at a restaurant! I can't believe where we have come from that first date! We are now a family and loving it! It was so exciting to see Dustin's face as he approached the table and realized Cohen and I were waiting for him! It was priceless!

Cohen's first week!

Here are some things we have learned about Cohen during this first week!

• We love him more and more each day!

There are so many exciting things to come...we can't wait!

Cohen at home!

Introducing... Cohen Dustin Vohs!

On Tuesday the 10th Dustin and I found ourselves leaving the hospital empty handed because of a false alarm! The doctor perscribed some pain medicine and warned me I could continue having contractions for days before our little guy would make an apperance! So I went home and three days later on the 13th at 4am we were back on the 5th floor of Utah Valley Regional Medical center! I was expecting to hear...sorry go home...but instead I had made a little bit of progress and was told we could stay. Shortly after my epidural we called family and told them it was time! Nicole my sister in-law (who was ready to go home that day after an already extended stay due to Maddix's birth) when hearing we were in the hospital exclaimed "Shut Up"! and a few hours later it was time to push! Pushing is exactly what I did for 3 hours! Cohen decided to be dramatic and came with his head facing the wrong way and the cord tightly around his neck! I guess he wanted to see more then the hospital floor!Since the cord was around his neck they wanted to make sure his lungs were okay. I kissed baby hi and good bye and the baby made a trip to the NICU. As soon as they were about to poke him he let out a scream and turned pink! I quess threats work on him! Although he was early he is happy and healthy! I am feeling better more and more each day! Baby Cohen was born at 12:42 p.m. and weighed 7 pounds and 6 ounces, he is 18 and 1/2 inches long and looks exactly like daddy! He is so handsome! We love being parents and are loving life more than words can describe!

My amazing, talented, funny, sweet, and dear friend Katie took our family pictures last week. It was her baby gift to me! I love them! She is so talented...as you can see! It made me teary because the last time she took our photos they were for our engagement pictures over 5 1/2 years ago! Dustin and I are so excited to become parents and meet our little boy! Thanks again "Gibby" for capturing this sweet time in our lives!
