I was so excited for Christmas this year I kind of got burned out tooooo early. We had such a great Christmas it was our first really home bound. I loved it! CHRISTMAS EVE could have gone a little bit better! We rushed home from Christmas eve dinner and quickly put Zander done for bed. Shortly after he went down he started screaming...we let him cry. After a while we decided we better check on him...he had spilled the entire bottle on his head and chest. Dustin took off his bran new pi's and put him in the bath. He PooPed in the tub for the first time. I was making cookies for santa with Co and it was way past bed time. I felt like we were never going to sleep. We were spoiled once again for Christmas. Christmas is so much fun with kids.

Temple square lights

It has been years since Dustin and I went up to see the lights. The biggest change since the last time was...the addition of two boys to our family. It was freezing cold that night. I was miserable. We walked around as fast as we could and then booked it for the trainWe had to wait forever for the train home. Next time I am going on a weekday right as they turn on the lights...and I'm not taking trax (sp?)

Just after my 29th birthday, I made a list of things I wanted to accomplish before I turn the big 3 OH! I think I was a little ambitious...but I have crossed a few things off.

2. try a new type of fish (seared tuna)

9. find an exercise that I enjoy (zumba...good laughs)

13. 29 new recipes (almost done)

Our 9th Anniversary...

We just celebrated nine years together. We went up to Park City for the night. My sister in law, Natalie, watched the boys for us. We had a blast. We had a "steak dinner for two," went to a movie, got a killer dessert, went shopping, and my favorite...we slept in! Thanks babe for the last nine years together!

14 months tomorrow!

Zander is 14 months tomorrow! Here are some pictures of him with his favorite blanket. Zander took a binky for the first 6 months or so then stopped he now snuggles this blanket. He is now walking more than crawling. He is getting more confident in turning and pausing. He walks with his blanket in-between his legs so he doesn't trip...it is super cute. He also bites his blanket, smells it and does quick face plants from a sitting position to the floor to snuggle it. He is having a hard time eating big kid food. He still loves his yogurt and baby food. I have been successful in feeding him a PB&J twice this week. He also loves cheese. He likes to drink from a zippy cup but prefers to watch it drain onto the counter and floor (mom doesn't think it's so cool.) Zander is transitioning from two naps to one. Some days I miss the two naps other times I don't. Zander has 10 teeth (including two molars) I think this is helping in the food department. Zander loves to snuggle and sit on laps. He loves to follow us. He can go up stairs but not down. He loves baths and splashes like a mad man. He can say ut-ohh, mom, dad, and tries to say hot. We love him more and more each day.

We had a great Thanksgiving yesterday. We were sad not to spend it with my family but Dustin's Aunt and Uncle invited us for a great meal and great company. As we were leaving Cohen walked past the kitchen held his had up and said..."Sorry guys, I can't stay." He had a blast!

Zander was fighting for his life. That week was by far one of the hardest weeks of my life. As this day has been approaching I've been reflecting on some of the things I learned (or was reminded of) during this challenge. I learned to always have a prayer in your heart...because you are never alone. Trust your gut and don't take no for an answer. The power of the priesthood is real and fathers who are worthy bless our families when we need it most. Church hymns and songs can bring strength, comfort, and the spirit faster for to me than anything else. It also made me realize just how lucky I am to be a mom...and that at any second that can be taken away from me. I am so lucky to have a second chance at being Zander's mom.

I was a little disappointed in how my family pictures went this year. I learned a lot about some mistakes I made. I love a lot of the images...just not happy in his process and felt that his style was really missing from our shoot.

Halloween

Halloween was so much fun this year. Cohen understood it more and he was really excited about being a family of skeletons. We celebrated Halloween twice, once in Disney World during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (pictures to come) and a week later at home. Cohen loved getting all the candy and saying trick or treat. We went to a trunk or treat and then came back to our neighbor hood to do some more trick or treating.

Zander turned one this past Sunday. Dustin and I both can't believe how big he is getting. We had a party for him and his sweet cousin Emery on Saturday, October 1st, (such a crazy weekend for a party) and it was a "hoot". Zander was into his cake but not really into eating it. He was so full of fun facial expressions while he ate...my favorite is the bulldog face! Thanks to everyone who joined us...it was so special.

Cohen Turns Three!

Our little guy is not so little anymore. One day after his birthday bash at "the Zoo" Cohen turned 3. I think he was a little confused when he woke up to balloons in his room because he had the birthday party the night before but he quickly warmed up to the idea that it was his special day. After a waffle breakfast with a 3 on top (he is crying because the whipped cream three had raspberries on it) we opened gifts and went to school with treats for his friends. We came home and went to his friend Reese's party for a water balloon fight. When we came home there was his cadillac parked in the garage with a sheet over it. Dustin and I got ready with the cameras (mine was without a memory card) to capture his excitement. He was happy but was over the moon like we thought he would be. Here he is taking Zander for a spin. We had a family dinner and Cohen had cake so we could sing to him. I think he likes being three!

Kangaroo Zoo!

We were excited to have Cohen and Maddix's 3rd birthday at one of their favorite spots...Kangaroo Zoo. They had so much fun and they were spoiled rotten by their friends and family.

We tried to recreate some pictures we have of Cohen...as you can see it didn't really work. Lighting was very different. These boys are different.

Differences:

Cohen loved big people food...Zander is fine sticking to the soft stuff.
Cohen hated to cuddle as a baby...Zander will snuggle every once in a while.
Cohen army crawled as soon as he could....Zander just started a few weeks ago.
Cohen was always moving...Zander is more content to relax.
Cohen had a two small strips of hair until about 5 months...Zander has had 4 trims since birth.
Cohen is more outgoing....Zander is more shy.
Cohen hates to be messy...Zander screams when you wipe his face.

Similarities:

They both love to sleep on their tummies.

Both smile at everyone...and rarely cry over nothing.

Both have their dad's jaw and build

I just celebrated another birthday...the last of my twenties. I have to be honest I'm a little shocked that my twenties are almost over. I have done some great things in the last 9 years but I feel like there is more I want to accomplish so I'm making a list of 29 things to do before I turn the big 30. I don't have my list completed so please send me ideas if you have any.

p.s. I took care of number 2 last night at Ruth's Chris....it was seared raw tuna. NASTY!

Zander is 9 months today...life goes by too fast. I never know what to say on these monthly posts. Zander is still not crawling but he is showing interest in starting to move. He can pull himself up on things. He loves to stand and play with toys but needs a spot. He loves the pool and taking baths. He loves baby food. He sleeps through the night almost always.He starts to fake scream when mom and dad leave his sight. Stats to follow...

I just didn't want today to pass without posting about my sweet husband and the amazing father he is. I knew when we were dating that he would be a great father...and I'm glad to say I was more than right. Dustin, is a hands on dad and the boys light up when they are with him. He teaches me how to be a better mom daily. I love him for everything he does.

8 months!

Zander Jack is 8 months! Our lives are so blessed to have him. He melts my heart on a daily basis. He is so sweet and smiley. He just gets cuter every day. Zander is still content to sit and hang out with us. Yesterday and today he has suddenly remembered that he can roll. He has rolled over three times. It's been a while since he's rolled.

Zander still hates tummy time and things going over his head.

He loves taking a bath (especially in the kitchen sink), rotating spoons with his wrists, he prefers baby food over a bottle, loves watching Cohen, being held facing out, his bouncer, his jumper thing, loves binkis, being talked to and park swings!

I'm sure i'll be adding to this post as I think of things.

We used to bathe Cohen in the sink all the time. This was Zander's first soak in the kitchen sink...and he was in heaven! Luckily Dustin was able to catch his splashing craziness on video...it was awesome!

Mother's Day 2011

This was my first official Mother's Day with Zander. I love being a mom of two boys they make me smile everyday. I wanted to thank my boys for a special weekend filled with pampering! Dustin started the weekend with a fun date night...we went out to dinner, he picked out my new dress, and then took me to Water for Elephants! Then on Saturday night he fed Zander his 2:30 bottle and let me sleep in...then woke me up to a yummy breakfast in bed! It ended just as sweet as it began when Zander fell asleep on my shoulder. It was perfect! Thanks D for flying in town and making my Mother's day so special. I love you guys!

Zander turned 7 months so we did a little photo shoot while Cohen was asleep. His Skye Johansen shoot is Thursday...I can't wait! We were visited by Grammie and Gramps this weekend. We also had a surprise visitor (daddy) for about 20 hours! It was such a fun weekend!

Easter

I've decided I need to be better about taking everyday pictures...it's just hard to pull out my big camera all the time. My awesome sister in law filled in my gaps with easter pictures...I'll have to edit this post later. Cohen is starting to understand holidays He went on his first Egg hunt at our friends house. He stood just looking at all the eggs until he realized what was inside! This kid loves candy! We are in so much trouble! We then got together and dyed eggs with the Mealeys. The boys did great minus a large yellow dye spill on Cohen's part. On Easter Sunday we went to church, took naps, and had another hunt and yummy dinner at Nanna and Pappa Rog's house. It was a great Easter!

six months

Zander turned 6 months this past week. I have been meaning to do a post about it however, his 6 month check was pushed back due to an ear infection. As soon as that happens I will be gushing over how sweet this little guy is....until then check out these rolls!

This has been a month that I have been waiting for. I love this age! I've really been seeing his personality come through. Zander is a calm and sweet baby. His whole face lights up when he smiles. Zander cries when he needs something or his brother makes loud noises. He gives a pouty lip as a warning then throws his head back and screams. Cohen is also the best person to make Zander really laugh! We have a few of these moments on tape and it makes me smile knowing how much he loves his big brother. Zander is sitting up all by himself...and loves it! He loves to play with toys and objects within reach. Today he grabbed a bag of bread off the a shelf while we were eating breakfast. He also likes to sit in the tub (with a little help) but he seems a little overwhelmed by the water. Zander has started eating baby food. At first he closed his lips tight...but now he anticipates each bite and leans forward with his mouth open. We finally moved him from his swing to his crib! He is doing great. His brown hair is starting to lighten. We are also getting ready for hair cut number two! His Skye Johansen pictures are next week...I hope he is good! Here are his 6 month stats:

5 months!

Our baby is 5 months today. I'm having a hard time believing it! When Cohen was a baby I couldn't wait for each new phase...but with Zander it's just different I want him to stay a baby.

Zander is getting better with tummy time. It doesn't last very long but he is getting stronger. Sometimes he gets so mad that he is on his tummy he decides to roll over. He hasn't rolled over from back to front and I'm assuming it's because he hates being on his tummy.
Zander still hates clothes going over his head.
he loves watching his brother and T.V.
He watches us eat like he is ready for food (we start rice cereal tonight)
Baby Zan is a pretty good sleeper although he is not on a set schedule.
He is one of the most easy going babies I have ever seen.
He loves reaching for things and exploring them with his mouth.
Zander has the cutest laugh but you have to work hard for it.
We still get comments about his crazy hair...and comments from friends and family that he is starting to look more like his brother.

Some BIG changes!

Some BIG changes happened this past week! Cohen (for the most part) is potty trained! He went more then five days without having an accident. He tells us BIG POTTY when he needs to go...and he loves picking out his underwear.

Dustin turned a year older on Saturday...we went up to Idaho (or I-HO as Cohen calls it) to celebrate. While we were there we stayed with the Howells, ate Dustin's favorite pizza, went bowling, watched moves, and visited with Grandpa D. We had so much fun. I think he was pretty happy with his presents too!

Zander rolled over from front to back for the first time today!

New Years resolution....

I just went on my friend Mindi's blog and was reminded of a New Years resolution I made. I only made two and one was documenting my boy's lives better. I haven't been doing so hot...so now that it's out there...I'm going to try a little bit harder!

Here are some cute things Cohen has done lately:

The other morning we were down having breakfast together but Dustin was still upstairs getting ready. Cohen yells up to Dustin...

Dad come sit down! 1........2.......3! (I guess we count a lot!)

Cohen was having a hard time sleeping one night...I went in and laid down with him. After a while he fell asleep and was tossing and turning so I slowly started to get out of his bed when he woke up. I asked him if he wanted me to go to my bed so he would have more room...he reached up and touched my cheek and said...No mommy stay. So sweet.
A few weeks ago my dad came into town. I decided to ask Cohen a few questions to show my dad how smart he was getting: Cohen what is your full name?

COHEN DADDY DOSE (instead of cohen dustin vohs) he was close he knew his middle name was his dad's name.

Today I was following Dustin in our Higlander...Cohen looked up and asked Dustin where mommy was. He replied that I was right behind them in our car. He paused and said...RACE DAD?
I loved hearing Cohen say the word Helicopter....he said HELICOP. Then all of the sudden he started saying the full word...they grow so fast.

Zander Jack is almost 4 months! I can't believe it has gone by so fast. He is the perfect addition to our family...we love him so much. Baby Zan has such a sweet personality already. Here are some of the great things about him!

Zander loves to take a bath but hates to get in and out. You can even dump water on his head he just hangs out.
He is either a great sleeper or a horrible one...just depends on the night.

He loves to smile and has the cutest little smirk I have ever seen.

He loves to kick his legs to move his bouncer or activate his play mat. When he sees his light start up he gets the biggest smile on his face.
Zander isn't sure what he thinks of his bumbo.
Zander gets looks and comments on his hair wherever we go. He loves getting his hair played with.
Zander holds his hands like he is praying...and is starting to grab and examine things he gets ahold of.
Zander hates to stand (even though his legs are strong from kicking) he refuses to stand on them...he buckles all the time.
Baby Zan (being a Snelgrove) has had ice cream!

What we've been up to

I hope we are like everyone else....SICK OF WINTER! I'm starting to feel a little bit more settled from Christmas but now I find myself into new projects. Dustin has been sick the last few days and I am praying that the boys and I don't get it. I am missing my neighborhood friends...wish I could see some of them tonight but dad is too sick. So here is a hello from the boys in stripes (Cohen's shirts are mostly stripes poor guy). I hope all of you are staying warm!

BRONCOS/chargers!

Today I went to my first Broncos game! I have lived in Denver on and off my whole life...but never attended a game. Dustin has always loved the Broncos so we were excited with Natalie and Eric invited us to a Chargers (Nat and Eric's team) vs. Broncos game for his birthday. It was a close game.

New Years Sleep over

This was Cohen's first sleep over with the Colorado cousins...he had a blast! My amazing parents watched all but one (baby Gavin) while the parents parted late (12:20) into the new year...thanks to the awesome hosting skills of my brother and sister in law!

We had such a great Christmas this year in Colorado. Unfortunately, it will will be our last for a while. I am glad we made the trip for Zander's first Christmas...we had a memorable trip! (we have a family tradition to take a picture before we turn the corner and see what Santa brought us...the stairs are getting crowded!

Zander Update!

Zander had his two month check and his three week follow up with his surgeon, Dr. Scaife. All of his surgical tape is off and only one stitch is still inside (it will dissolve soon). He has made a full recovery!

Our miracle (this will be a long one)

Our Tuesday started off like any other day. Zander wanted his first morning bottle around 8 am. After his bottle I dressed him for the day and started getting ready to go shopping with my best friend Jess who was in town for the week. A few minutes later Zander threw up, it was bad enough that I decided to give him a bath and redress him. Once dressed I continued to get ready when he threw up a second time. This was defiantly out of the norm and I started thinking that maybe his tummy was having a hard time with a sample formula (Similac Sensitive stomach) I had decided to try the night before. I decided to change back to the normal formula and called a nurse to see if he needed to be seen for the flu...with no fever I wasn't too concerned. I also called my babysitter and told her not to come today because I didn't want to leave Zander if he was sick. I wasn't too concerned until I saw the color start to drain from his face...it was subtle at first until the third time he threw up and it was the throw up was yellow. I knew something wasn't right when no one could comfort him...Zander really only cries when he hungry and getting his diaper changed. The look in his eyes was pure terror, it was if he was pleading for us to help him. I asked Dustin to give him a blessing before he left for work...it was now after 11. I wasn't in the room when he blessed him but as I passed Dustin on the stairs I glanced down at Zander and his arms were hanging down at his sides and his eyes were glazed over. He was white as a ghost and we knew it was time to rush him into the Emergency room. I called to see if the doctors office could get him in sooner than 2:30 but they couldn't. I asked the nurse if she thought we should go to the ER and she said she couldn't decide for me.

At the ER we breifly told the nurse at the desk what was happening she too said it was our call. Dustin and I took a second to decide whether or not we should stay...it was now just around 12:00. We were admitted and patiently waited to be seen. The nurse came in to our room and did some basic checking. She said things looked normal except his blood pressure was high (about twenty points and that could be a sign of infection). We waited for the doctor and explained why we thought we needed to be seen. He ordered an I.V. and some blood work. He asked us tons of questions one of which was..."Has he had any blood in his diapers"? I breathed a sigh of relief (because the answer was no) and he asked me if we could try to feed him. I pulled out a bottle and watched Zander take a few sips and then loose interest.

He ordered a CT scan of his brain incase he had a seizure. When he left the room 3 nurses tried to give Zander an IV the first three pokes were unsuccessful and Zander was limp and lethargic as they tried. With three failed attempts they called the NICU nurse. She was extremely patient and finally got one...they also needed a blood sample...and instead of bleeding his blood was almost impossible for them to get out. It was like he was drained dry.

The doctor decided to order a CT of his stomach. We walked over and he was filled with a dye that was ex-rayed as it traveled through his stomach. While we waited for the results the nurse came in and gave us some great news that some of the results came back normal. I was starting to think we would be going home soon until I looked down at his diaper. It was dark and when we opened it, it was blood red. We called the nurse over and she went and told the doctor who was overwhelmed with ER patients. He came right in and told us that the CT had confirmed his worst fear.

MALROTATION! Malrotation is when the large and small intestin start to twist and turn on each other. This cuts of blood flow and the bowel starts to die.

He didn't wait to call our pediatrician he called for the Life Flight Helicopter. It all happened very fast from that moment.

Our brother and sister in law came into the room while I was whispering to Zander to stay strong and that we would meet him as soon as we could. Zander was given a blessing as the helicopter landed. The pediatric team from Children's Primary Hospital rushed into the room, changed his nose tube, and strapped him to the gurney. As we ran to the helicopter pad they took down Dustin's cell and told me there was no longer room for me in the Helicopter. He was loaded by the medical team as we kissed him good bye. This would be the last time we would see him until the recovery room.

After the helicopter took off we drove home and packed our bags. We are so lucky that my best was there to take care of Cohen. She took over and kept us together. We left as soon as week could but we knew we wouldn't make it before the surgery.

When we arrived at the hospital he was already 15 minutes into surgery. As we prayed and cried in the waiting room we got a call from the anesthesiologist saying they went in without our approval because Dustin's cell phone number was written down wrong. He told us that they had made it in time and there was now bowel death...they also had removed his appendix. He told us it would be another hour and that the Head surgeon Dr. Scaife would come and speak with us once they were done. My aunt and Uncle came and sat with us while we waited.

Dr. Scaife and one of his residents walked calmly into the room and told us that they had finished the surgery and it was successful. It was when he began to explain Malrotation that I realized the gravity of the situation. This was a congenital problem (present at birth) and it was only a matter of time before the bowel began to twist. He explained that Zander's bowels did not twist and turn like Heavenly father designed...his were unorganized which allowed them to twist like a wet towel. He said we only had a 4-6 hour window where this problem changes from something they can fix to fatal. Dr. Scaife said there was a baby upstairs that had not been seen in time. He said Zander was very lucky and should make a full recovery.

His nurses were amazing and each day Zander was in the IMSU he improved. His color started to come back and tubes were slowly removed. On Saturday Dr. Scaife said most babies that have the LADDS procedure done don't do as good as Zander. We were expecting to be there until Tuesday...instead we are home today.

We cannot thank Zander's Doctors and nurses enough. We know that Zander is one of the lucky ones. We are truly blessed to have him in our lives. He is our miracle baby.

Our baby Zander was blessed by his father on Sunday, November 7th. It was a very sweet day for our family. So many close friends and family traveled to share it with us...we are so lucky. Zander's cousin Emery was blessed too...we are blessed to have these sweet babies in our lives.

Halloween took a back seat this year...a first and a last I hope. We did manage to fit in a little bit of fun. Our friends had an amazing Halloween party and we took Cohen to our wards "trunk or treat". I hope to get some better pictures of the boys in their costumes...if I do I'll post them!

Zander's Story

Zander came into our family in a much different way than his brother. On Friday night Dustin came home late from an APX award banquet after talking about our days we decided to call it a night. (12:00) I was feeling uncomfortable and a little sick (which was nothing out of the norm) and told Dustin maybe I was in labor and just didn't know it yet.

At 3:00 I woke up to a sharp pain, cringed and shot up in bed...that woke Dustin right up and he asked if I was alright. I told him I must have had a contraction... told him to get some more sleep and I would time the next few just in case. Two contractions later (10 minutes) I felt a pop and my PJ's get wet...My water broke! Dustin jumped out of bed and turned on the light and we confirmed it, I was officially in labor. Since my water never broke on its own with Cohen I didn't know exactly what was next. We started to get ready for the hospital, nothing was packed so we rushed around trying to pull everything together. Dustin "wisely" advised me to call the Doctor. After answering a few standard questions about my general state of being and my previous labor he said, "get to the hospital." I called my good friend and neighbor Iliana to come and stay with Cohen while my cousin could drive down to stay with Co.

We arrived at the Timpanogas Hospital around 4:00 am and admitted in room 104 (the same room my sister in law, Natalie, delivered my niece Emery 9 days before). They checked me and I was dialated to a 6.5! The next few contractions really started to hurt...so in came the epidural. That was a great sight until the doctor told me the epidural was having a hard time catching up to my body (which was dialated to a 9.5 at that point). I about died! However, a few contractions later there was no more pain and it was time to push! This shocked me because with Cohen I had felt the urge to push and this time I didn't my Doctor just told me too. I pushed twice and at 5:18 am Zander was here.

This past Saturday we celebrated Cohen and Maddix's second birthday! We met at the Lindon pool for lunch and cake...then stayed and enjoyed the pool one last time before they closed for the summer. We had a blast hanging out with family and friends all day! Thank you to everyone that made it so special for them. They were SPOILED! I can't believe our little guy is almost two!

I need help deciding!

I know some of these are hard to see...but I need help deciding! Baby number two will be photographed by Peekaboo photography just after birth. I wanted to buy two hats for him. These are the two styles Dustin and I like. Here is where I need your help!

The first hat will be in grey and cream...but all cream bill or just the trim?

The second hat...should I match his room (basically the first one) or do a fall color scheme adding green to the hat (since he will be born in October)?

Bear Lake and Park City

We just had a great week of family reunion fun one on Dustin's side and one on my side! It started in Bear Lake on Monday the 18th and ended the following Monday in Layton. Cohen had a week of firsts and seemed to love them all. He went boating, tubing (behind the boat with dad), swimming in a lake, jet skiing, ridding a horse, and going down the alpine slides. We had a great time catching up with both sides and meeting new cousins. Our new addition will be the 112th person on my dad's side of the family! Can't wait to add him to the bunch!

Texas Trip

I have not posted some big events of the summer...this is one. A few weeks ago we traveled with Dustin to Corpus Cristi Texas. Dustin has an office there it was a fun visit because we got to see our good friends the Bakers and my brother Matt. The guys were busy working but we were able to fit in some fun too! Lindy took us to these cool fountains right by the ocean...co loved them. We went to the aquarium, beach, fun restaurants, and of course a little shopping. It was really hot but we had so much fun.

This has been such a fun Fourth of July and birthday weekend! We started the party on Saturday morning at the pool with the Mealeys and the LePreys. We had an explosive

picnic lunch, played on the slides, and watched dad surf on the Flow rider. After mommy and Cohen took naps we joined the neighbors for a yummy BBQ and fireworks.

On Sunday we started the day by going to church. Then we drove up to Nanna and pappa Roger's house for dinner. Dustin invited family and friends over to our house for cake and ice cream and I opened my presents! Everyone spoiled me this year...I loved all my presents and couldn't thank all my friends enough for all the birthday wishes. After cake we watched more fireworks...until the cops came.

Today we went to a Fourth of July parade, picked up Jambas and now we are headed to the pool.

My good friend recently did a post about her sweet husband...and what he did was sweet...but I think my husband is the best husband! I know I'm way behind in blogging but here is

a belated Father's Day post.

Many of you already know what my husband was up to a few weeks ago while I was in Colorado, but for those of you that don't. I came home from my trip thinking of all the things I needed to do before baby number two gets here...I was stressing. In the car coming back from the airport I started telling Dustin our game plan to get everything accomplished. Starting with cleaning out the garage and renting a storage unit. Then starting to finish our garage and turn it into a photography studio. After that I wanted to change the nursery so this new little guy felt just as special and loved...the idea was to put up some bead board.

When we pulled up to the house we opened the garage and I could not believe what I was seeing...our full to the ceiling garage was empty and the floor had been painted! I started to cry...knowing that Dustin had been busy at home cleaning out our garage and moving it all into storage!

Next we went up to the nursery where I found bead board up and ready to be painted in the baby's room! Such a sweet dad.

Dustin is truly a hands on dad...he loves Cohen so much there is nothing he wouldn't do for him. I know this new little guy is going to love him just as much as Cohen does!

19 Weeks!

Here is a photo of my 19 week belly. I think it really is the first belly shot I've taken. Last night I got together with a small group of high school friends it was so fun to catch up...or at least try to. When I got home baby Gavin (Cohen's new little cousin) was crying I walked over to pick him up and found Cohen rocking the car seat with one hand and trying to stick in the Binky with the other. I know he is going to be such a great big brother. His little brother will be lucky to have him!

Colorado Adventures!

This is us today at Washington Park feeding the ducks! Whenever my friends and I got bored in highschool my mom would suggest we ..."Go feed the ducks". Today we actually did it. Although Cohen wanted to keep his bread for himself!

I have not been very good about documenting this trip. Cohen and I are having so much fun playing in Colorado. Here are a few things we have done so far! Dad came in town and uncle Chris took the day off so we headed for the Denver Zoo. It was crowded but we got to see most of the animals. We went out to breakfast as a family...something we've never done before. Cohen ate the most I've seen him eat in a long time he had eggs, french toast, bacon, waffle, and juice. Then we decided to go shopping, this failed miserably (due to Cohen's bad behavior). We met Grammie and her students at Chick fa la for lunch. Went to Grandview High School (were my mom works) and watched her students cheer with the Grandview cheer leaders. Cohen said woooh to all the flips and stunts. We have played with our Colorado cousins Jake, Brayden, Logan and baby Gavin. This is our first time meeting baby Gavin...he is so cute and tiny. Cohen has taken walks with Grammy and Grampy almost every night. It has been so fun! This weekend we get to go to the pool for the first time this summer! That's all for now! Last Friday, Dustin turned the big 30! We started by driving to Ruth's Chris steak house for dinner. He thought we were going just with his sister and our brother in law Eric...but really his whole family came in town and met us at the restaurant. During dinner I surprised him by saying we weren't going home that night...instead we were staying the night at the Grand America in SLC. We woke up and had couple's massages at The Grand America Spa.

On the way home Dustin told me he would never be able to top that! Little did he know we were getting ready to throw him a second Surprise down at the APX indoor basketball court. We told him Eric was having a regional party...it was really for him. We had pizza, salad, and cake. We played dodge ball 30+ vs. 30-! It was a great start to his "dirty thirties"!

Most of you know I hate to cook! Hate it with a passion...but love to eat! I love to eat out, experience new flavors, and take an occasional meaty dare! Everything tastes better when you don't cook it and don't clean up after it.

Dustin informed me that maybe Cohen wasn't into chicken lately because that's all I cook. I informed him that there is ham, hot dogs, turkey, bologna, corn dog, pepperoni, and hamburger meat in the fridge (at the moment).

Lately I just turn to my two friends Carrian and Mindi...they have amazing food blogs! Thanks to them my boys are having a little bit more variety! Thanks guys for your food inspirations!

This year in Hawaii we took some surf lessons! It was so fun...but I didn't last long because we had paddle boarded the day before! It just reminded me of how out of shape I am! I swear the waves we surfed seemed much bigger at the time! I swear these pictures were as the wave was dying...oh well! My favorite part was when my instructor "Sharky" took his friend's dog out to catch a wave!
